What is bibliotherapy?

Bibliotherapy is a method using books and writing as therapeutic tools.

It began with poetry and emphasized how people can use reading and writing poetry as a therapeutic tool.

Since then, the therapeutic power of words has become further recognized.

Different Genres & Types of Books Serve Different Purposes

While I do incorporate books inside and outside of genres, my specialties are:

  • Horror for anxiety, stress, anger/rage, and trauma

  • Romance/erotica to help queer folx explore their sexuality in a safe and accessible manner

One-On-One Sessions

My one-on-one sessions are individualized to your needs. Together, we will create a plan based on what you would like to address.

*NOTE: These coaching sessions aren’t designed to treat or diagnosis conditions. However, they do provide a supportive and creative environment to add to your healing journey.

Self-Led Programs

I offer self-led programs that are designed for certain topics.

These programs are for those who want to practice bibliotherapy on their own.
